A new Android malware strain, Mantax Otax, has emerged, combining ransomware and spyware capabilities. This threat encrypts files, steals sensitive data, and harasses victims through spam. Separately, the GoldFactory threat group is exploiting Android’s Work Profile feature to deliver the Gigabud Trojan, hiding tampered banking apps within these isolated environments to evade detection.
