CDN Tsunami Attack Exploits HTTP/3 Translation for DoS Amplification

Cybersecurity researchers have revealed ‘CDN Tsunami,’ a denial-of-service (DoS) attack that leverages how major CDNs convert HTTP/3 traffic to HTTP/1.1. This amplification technique can magnify a low-bandwidth request stream by up to 350x against origin servers. The attack was successfully demonstrated against several major CDNs, posing a significant threat to web infrastructure.
