The U.S. government has warned of an active threat targeting critical infrastructure organizations using AI-generated exploit scripts. These scripts are being used to conduct reconnaissance and capability development against Siemens S7 Series Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). The attackers disguise these AI-generated tools as legitimate monitoring utilities, posing a novel and concerning threat to industrial control systems.
