New ClickLock macOS Malware Traps Users into Revealing Login Password
A new macOS information-stealing malware, ‘ClickLock,’ has been identified. This malware employs a coercive tactic: it terminates all visible processes in a loop every 210ms until the user enters their system login password. It arrives as a Terminal command, presents a fake system dialog, and if cancelled, installs LaunchAgents for persistence. This highly disruptive method aims to force credential disclosure.
