Seven vulnerabilities have been disclosed in FatFs, a widely used filesystem library for FAT and exFAT formats in embedded devices. These flaws are critical due to FatFs’s pervasive presence in firmware for security cameras, drones, industrial controllers, and hardware crypto wallets. The lack of immediate patches for these widespread devices creates a significant attack surface across various critical infrastructure and consumer electronics.
