FBI Disrupts NetNut Residential Proxy Network and Popa Botnet
The FBI, in collaboration with Google and other partners, has disrupted NetNut, a large residential proxy network. This operation severed access to the Popa botnet, which comprised at least two million compromised Android devices, including smart TVs and streaming boxes. The disruption significantly reduces the infrastructure available for malicious activities that rely on residential proxies, such as credential stuffing and evading detection.
