The FBI, in collaboration with Google and Black Lotus Labs, has dismantled ‘Outsider Enterprise,’ a large-scale Chinese phishing-as-a-service (PhaaS) operation. This network utilized thousands of phishing websites, reportedly leveraging Google’s Gemini AI to craft convincing phishing messages, to steal credit card data and credentials. Google has also filed a lawsuit against the network, highlighting the increasing use of AI in sophisticated phishing campaigns.
